Submersive Productions

Dive in.

Submersive Productions is a collaborative artworks company that creates original, site-specific immersive works where artists and audiences engage together at the intersection of histories, mythologies and the immediate experience.

Based in Baltimore, we devise works that make the audience essential to the journey of the narrative.

We work with diverse, predominantly female teams of artists and performers to make worlds that engage the senses and unfold stories, both familiar and forgotten.

It is with great pride that we present "Breathing Black: Or How We Heal," a new documentary and series of events conceived and created by Submersive Creative Partner Tina Canady, joined by Marissa O'Guinn Dahl (also a Submersive Creative Partner) and Daisy Candy Brown.

The initial screening events at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum are completely sold out, but we’ve got a hunch that it will not be the last time you will have a chance to see the movie!

Let's rECHOllect

recho-picnic

We remain thankful for the hundreds of community members who joined us on one last sunny weekend in early November to share space and time with our visitors from 2032. They appear to be gone for now, but who can say when they may return? Were they from our only certain future, or just one of many? This mysterious blog may (or may not) point to some answers.

Thanks all of you who donated in support of rECHOllection. If you wish to support our artists and make their work freely available (as we did for this experience), donations in any amount gladly accepted through PayPal: info@SubmersiveProductions.com and Venmo: @Submersive Productions Tax-deductible donations can be made through our fiscal sponsors, Fractured Atlas. We are deeply thankful for all your support!

Current and In-progess Works

In Progress...

We have no fewer than five works in various stages of production. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and subscribe to our newsletter to keep up to date. We look forward to seeing you in 2022!

Our future at The Peale and beyond...

The Peale Center has graciously hosted and partnered with us for over two years. They are currently undergoing an ambitious and impressive renovation and we have it on good authority that their doors will open again in 2022. Until then, the you can find out what the Peale is up to here.
